National surveys show that about 6 out of every 10 women of child-bearing age use alcohol, and slightly less than one-third of women who drink alcohol in this age group binge drink.
According to the most recent National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), there may not be a direct causal effect of advertising on drinking.
