• About 20% of teens are "problem drinkers." Problem drinking can result in getting drunk, having accidents related to alcohol use, or getting into trouble with the law, family members, friends or school due to alcohol use.
• There is a high likelihood that a person is experiencing an episode of alcohol poisoning if they have been drinking heavily and they do not respond to repeated attempts to wake them up.
• Binge drinking is defined as the consumption of 5 or more drinks containing alcohol on 1 occasion.
